The  Glorious  Church
in  the  End  Time

God’s  Plan  of  a  Glorious  Church

h“For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.  Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.”  (Rom. 8:28-30)

Relationship  between  Yahweh  and

Israel  in  the  Old  Testament  Time

hIn the Old Testament time Yahweh was “a husband”  to Israel which had broken God’s Covenant (Jer. 31:32).
hDue to Israel’s backsliding and adultery God had divorced her (Jer. 3:8).
hGod has promised to established a New Covenant and have a new relationship with the House of Israel and the House of Judah (Jer. 31:31-34)

 The  Church  is  a  Mystery

in  the  Old  Testament  Time

hAlthough the word “church” is not written in the Old Testament yet it is expressed in a symbolical way.
hGod’s causing Adam to have a deep sleep and taking one of his ribs to create Eve is an allusion to God’s institution of the Church through the death of the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross.

Mystery  of  God’s  Creation  of  Eve

“And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.” (Gen. 2:21-22)   While Adam was having the “deep sleep” God opened a wound in his chest.

It symbolizes one of the soldiers piercing the Lord Jesus Christ when He died, “and immediately blood and water came out” (Jn. 19:34-35).

The "blood" represents the sacrificial death  and the "water" represents the baptism of the Lord.  Christians are baptized "not only by water, but by water and blood.  And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth." (1 Jn. 5:6)  It is the symbol of the ". . . church of God which He purchased with His own blood."

Mystery  of  Jesus  Christ  and  the  Church

The woman Eve symbolizes the Church that God created by the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ and the shedding of His precious blood (Eph. 5:25, 30-33; Acts 20:28; 1 Pet. 1:18-19).

The  Mystery  of  the  Church  is

Revealed  in  the  New  Testament

h“For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”  (Eph. 5:30-33)

 Husbands  love  Your  Wives

just  as  Christ  loves  the  Church

h“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,”  (Eph. 5:25)

Wives  submit  to  Your  Husbands

just  as  the  Church  to  Christ

h“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.” (Eph. 5:22-24)

Good  Relationship  between  Husbands  and

Wives  enables  Christ  to  Sanctify  the  Church

h“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.”  (Eph. 5:25-27)

Divine  Order  in  the  Family

h“Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.  Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.  Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord.  Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.”  (Col. 3:18-21)

 Divine  Order  in  the  Church

h“But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” (1 Cor. 11:3)
h“And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.” (1 Cor. 12:28)

 The  Basic  Family  Church  can

be  established  in  the  House

h“Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia to Christ.”  (Rom. 16:15)
h“The churches of Asia greet you. Aquila and Priscilla greet you heartily in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.”  (1 Cor. 16:19)
