The Ark - A Symbol of God's Salvation - 2 The World View is that
Noah’s Ark is a Myth | h | They think it is an impossibility for a 500 year old man and his family of eight who have never built a boat, have no construction training or experience, no cranes and lifting equipments, to build the ark that is one and half times longer than a football field. (Gen. 5:32; 7:6; 6:15) |
Why True Christians believe Noah’s Ark is a Historical Fact | h | "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God” (2 Tim. 3:16). “For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” (2 Pet. 1:21). Noah’s Ark is described clearly in Genesis. The Lord Jesus Christ and the Apostles also mentioned Noah’s Ark in the New Testament (Mt. 24:37-39; Heb. 11:7; 1 Pet. 3:20). |

The ARK - a Symbol
of God’s Salvation Definitions of Arks in the Holy Bible | h | The Hebrew word for “Ark” in the Bible “תֵּבָה Tebah” is a box or chest that God had used to save His people. | | h | This word refers to the vessel that God instructed Noah to construct (Gen. 6:14-16). | | h | The baby Moses was placed inside “an ark of bulrushes” (Ex. 2:3). | | h | The Hebrew words “אָרוֹן הָבְּרִית Ārōn Hāb’rīt” that are translated “Ark of the Covenant” also describe a wooden box or chest. | | h | Of the three kinds of “Arks” in the Bible the one that Noah constructed is clearly the vessel of God’s salvation of His elect by faith through grace. |

Preparation of the Ark
