The Truth that makes us Free

The Truth from the Lord Jesus Christ makes us free

h	“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (Jn. 8:31-32)

Jesus Christ came to free us from Sin

h	“Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” (Jn. 8:34-36)

Lord Jesus Christ is the Only

Person on Earth who has no sin

h	“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Cor. 5:21)
h	“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.” (Heb. 4:15)

Every Person on Earth has Sin

h	“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned--” (Rom. 5:12)
h	Every person is born in sin. “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.” (Psm. 51:5)

Every Person who does not believe in the

Lord Jesus Christ will die in his or her Sin

h	The Lord Jesus Christ said, “”Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins." (Jn. 8:24)

Only the Lord Jesus Christ can give us Eternal Life

h	“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (Jn. 3:16)
h	“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 Jn. 5:11-12)

The Truth of the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ

h	The Lord Jesus Christ is the One True God "manifested in the flesh"  (1 Tim. 3:16).
h	"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God."  (Jn.1:1-2)        "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."  (Jn. 1:14)

The Truth of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit

h	There is only One True God who manifests Himself as the: Holy Father (Creator) Holy Son (Savior) Holy Spirit (Comforter)

The Truth of the Oneness of

Jesus Christ and Father God

h	The Lord Jesus Christ said to the Jews, “I and My Father are one.” (Jn. 10:30) By this statement Jesus declared that He and the heavenly Father are One and the same True God.
h	Jesus Christ is “the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. . . And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” (Col. 1:15-17)

The Truth of the Oneness of

Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit

h	"The Spirit of God" is the same as “the Spirit of Christ" (Rom. 8:9).
h	There is only one Lord (Eph. 4:5) and one Holy Spirit (Eph. 4:4).
h	Since "the Lord is the Spirit" and the Holy Spirit is also called the "Spirit of the Lord" (2 Cor 3:17), therefore, the Holy Spirit is the same Person as the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit is called the “Spirit of Truth”

h	“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” (Jn. 16:13)
h	“the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” (Jn. 14:17)

Worship God in Spirit and Truth

h	The Lord Jesus Christ said; “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.“ (Jn. 4:23-24)
h	“And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” [“speak with other tongues” in Greek γλωσσολαλία “glossalalia” means “tongue language], (Acts 2:4).

The True Gospel of Salvation

h

The apostle Paul wrote: “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,” (1 Cor. 15:1-4)

The Truth of God’s Holy Name

h	The One True God revealed His Holy Name יהוה YAHWEH (Hebrew pronunciation) ‎ to Moses (Ex. 3:13-15).
h	This name’s translation “I AM WHO I AM” means the One True God exists eternally by Himself.

The Truth of God’s Holy Names
for Covenant and Redemption

h	In the Old Testament time God used His Holy Name “YAHWEH” to establish the covenants with His people Israel, and He also gave them the Ten Commandments (Ex. 19:3-8; 20:1-17; 34:28)
h	In the New Testament time God uses His Holy Name “YAHSHUA - JESUS” to redeem the chosen people in His Church and save them from sin (Mt. 1:21).

God’s Holy Name is in the
Name of the Lord Jesus Christ

h	God revealed His name יה “YAH” . “I AM” “is My Name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.” (Ex. 3:14-15; Psm. 68:4; Isa. 12:2; 38:11). When we pray and say “HalleluYah” “הללויה” we are praising the holy name of God “YAH” .
h	The Hebrew name of Jesus which is YAHSHUA is composed of two words. “YAH” is God’s Name, and “OSHUA” means Salvation.

The Truth of Salvation in the

Name of YAHSHUA (JESUS)

h	An angel of the LORD said to Joseph (Mary’s husband) in a dream, “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." (Mt. 1:21)
h	“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)

The Truth of Belief in the

Name of YAHSHUA (JESUS)

h	“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (Jn. 1:12-13)
h	To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins." (Acts 10:43)

The Truth of Baptism in the Name of

Jesus Christ for the Remission of Sin

h	“Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38)
h	“And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” (Acts 22:16)

The Truth about God’s Redemption

through Christ’s Shedding of Blood

h	“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.‘ (Lev. 17:11)
h	“how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Heb. 9:14)

The Truth about the Blood
of the Lord Jesus Christ

h	“But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe.” (Jn. 19:34-34) The blood and water that flowed from the side of the Lord Jesus Christ represents the two important events in His life. The blood represents His crucifixion and the water represents His baptism. When Christians are baptized they are washed not only with water but also with the blood of Jesus Christ.
	“And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.”      (1 Jn. 5:6)

The Truth about the Blood of

Jesus Christ in Holy Communion

 

h	“The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?” (1 Cor. 10:16)
h	“Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” (Mt. 26: 27-28)

 

The Truth about Partaking of

Holy Communion and Salvation

h

“Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.” (Jn. 6:53-56)

       The Truth about Washing of Feet

h	“Peter said to Him, "Never shall You wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me." (Jn. 13:8)
h	The Lord Jesus Christ said to His disciples: “If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.” (Jn. 13:17)

        The Truth about the Sabbath

h	The Seventh Day Sabbath was established by God at the end of His Creation of the Universe and mankind (Gen. 2:1-3)
h	“And He (Lord Jesus Christ) said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath." (Mk. 2:27-28)
h	God included the Seventh Day Sabbath into the Ten Commandments which must be fully kept for eternal life and going to heaven. (Ex. 20:8-11; Mt. 19:16-19; Rev. 14:12-13)

         The Truth about God’s Salvation 

         and Judgment of Individuals

h	The Lord Jesus Christ said; "Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” (Mt. 7:21)
h	"For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.” (Mt. 16:27)
h	"Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”    (Rev. 20:11-12)

"The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”  (Rev. 20:13-15)
